Finance Manager

Seeking a dynamic Finance Manager to spearhead our financial operations, ensuring compliance with Singapore’s accounting standards and driving strategic decision-making for company growth.

Overview of Role

As Finance Manager, you'll oversee our financial operations, ensuring compliance with Singapore’s accounting standards. This involves managing day-to-day activities and maintaining accurate records, while also developing financial models for strategic decisions. Your leadership in budget management and policy implementation will enhance efficiency and align financial objectives with overall business goals. Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger accounting and regulatory filings compliant with Singapore’s accounting standards.
Ensure accurate, complete and timely preparation of financial records and documentation, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in compliance with Singapore’s accounting standards and regulations.
Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support business decision-making; and manage the department’s budget, ensuring that expenses are kept within budget and that revenue targets are met.
Develop and implement policies, procedures and processes that promote operational efficiency and effectiveness, enhance the customer experience while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in the Finance Department.
Provide regular reports and updates to the company’s leadership team on the performance and progress of the Company and Finance Department toward financial, operation efficiency, customer satisfaction and happy employee goals.
Manage the annual audit process, ensuring compliance with audit requirements and addressing any audit findings.
Monitor financial performance to provide insights and recommendations to the leadership team to identify improvement opportunities, drive business growth and profitability.
Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulations and maintain the integrity and security of financial information and data ensuring compliance with all relevant requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in financial management or related roles.
Strong knowledge of Singapore’s accounting standards and regulations.
Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Proven track record of managing budgets and driving financial performance.

I entered Payboy as a UX Designer after graduating from Ngee Ann Polytechnic under the Startup Talent Factory Program. Even though I entered the company with little to no experience in this industry, Payboy created an environment where I could learn and explore comfortably. Back when I was a second year in SMU, I applied for internships with only a couple of basic programming courses under my belt. I really only knew the basics: loops and if-conditions, some idea of html and css.
