HR & Managed Services Senior Specialist

Overview of Role

The HR & Managed Services Senior Specialist is responsible for managing complex payroll setups, ensuring compliance through regular audits, and leading client onboarding to customize HR and payroll solutions. The role involves mentoring junior team members, conducting training sessions, and building strong client relationships by acting as a trusted advisor. Additionally, the Specialist ensures statutory compliance for assigned clients, stays updated on regulatory changes, and collaborates with the Manager to optimize workflows for improved efficiency.

Responsibilities

Advanced Payroll Management:

  • Manage more complex payroll setups, such as those involving variable components, multiple shifts, or foreign employee arrangements.
  • Conduct regular payroll audits to ensure compliance and identify discrepancies.

Client Onboarding & Support:

  • Lead the onboarding of new clients, ensuring smooth data migration and payroll system setup.
  • Customize HR and payroll solutions to meet client-specific needs and provide ongoing support during transitions.

Mentorship & Training:

  • Mentor junior Specialists, providing guidance on handling challenging payroll cases and improving their service delivery.
  • Conduct training sessions for team members on new systems, processes, or compliance changes.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build strong relationships with key clients, acting as a trusted advisor for their HR and payroll needs.
  • Anticipate client challenges and proactively recommend solutions to improve their operations.

Compliance Oversight:

  • Monitor compliance requirements for all assigned clients and ensure timely submission of statutory reports.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and inform clients of their implications.

Process Optimization:

  • Identify areas for process improvement and collaborate with the Manager to implement more efficient workflows.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience in payroll and HR services.
  • Expertise in payroll software and statutory compliance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership and mentoring capabilities.

  • I entered Payboy as a UX Designer after graduating from Ngee Ann Polytechnic under the Startup Talent Factory Program. Even though I entered the company with little to no experience in this industry, Payboy created an environment where I could learn and explore comfortably.   • Back when I was a second year in SMU, I applied for internships with only a couple of basic programming courses under my belt. I really only knew the basics: loops and if-conditions, some idea of html and css.
